Howff is
an old Scottish name for a 17th century graveyard in Dundee, but in
a positive note it also means a drinking den, or happy meeting place.
In keeping with these ideas this area is a monument to those musicians
who have passed on from this mortal coil but left their mark on the
memory of Scotland's music tradition. Here you will find some of our
ancestors whose music from the past continues to inform, educate and
